At the risk of opening myself up to a ton of "constructive
criticism", I put a bunch of photos up in my gallery of Friday's
Knoxville Nationals. I'd normally be a bit more selective of
what I'd show you, but I put the mess of them up for my
coworkers that bought my ticket. ;)

I would have preferred to be in a much better position--like in
the inside of turn 1, but you do what you need to do. All
photos were taken with the E-1, 200/4, 100/2.8 and 14-54 on
Provia 400F.

There were a couple of heads in front of my that made panning
shots a little difficult. One interesting thing that happened
and is visible in P811522770.jpg is that the exposure (aperture
priority) is determined just prior to the shutter-release. Well
in this case the exposure was determined while the camera was
pointed at the back of the person's head in front of me. This
messed up a bunch of shots.

The only processing done on these images was resizing. Nothing
else. WB was set on the white fence.

I am leaving some obvious outakes in there for your
entertainment. Yes, this photographic genious is capable of
missing the car entirely in a panning shot (P811516862.jpg). But
I was able to capture a nice wipeout that I saw coming for about
three laps. (P811513846.jpg)
