My idea of the perfect camera bag is one that doesn't look like one, nor
like an expensive yuppie briefcase.
My camera gear used to travel in a generic backpack I got free with a
pair of boots. Now it travels in a Canyon backpack with the label
removed and has better internal organization and padding. But the bag is
muted, blah colored, generic, boring - perfect.
In the field, I use a LowePro Photorunner. It's small, so you have to
pick you kit carefully and work out the packing layout. Depending on the
lens sizes, it should carry the two OM bodies and 3-4 lenses specified.
Since I only use it in the field, I expect to have one body and lens
around my neck and the bag has plenty of room for lenses, hoods, etc.,
and sometimes another body.
I like that it can be worn as a waistpack, with good, wide, solid strap,
or from the shoulder, with a good shoulder strap, light, but good shape
and grip on clothing so it doesn't slip off easily.Anybody looking for
camera gear will probably know what's in it, but it is plain black and
rather inconspicuous.
