I've mentioned this before, but vision isn't the only impediment
LCD-only cameras present. I have a 2020Z with both a VF and LCD.
I've tried to hold it steady while using the LCD only but simply
cannot, especially at lower shutter speeds. And in situations where
higher shutter speeds can be used, it's usually too bright to see the
LCD properly.
OTOH, even a mediocre VF is preferable as it allows me to tuck my
elbows in, press the cam to my face, exhale and gently squeeze the
shutter release. Excuse me, but I need a cigarette now (he said,
rolling his eyes . . . )
With my luck, they'll finally get the P&S noise problems resolved and
do away with VFs at the same time. LOL!!
