Tom,

If I remember correctly the only functional difference is that the 1n 
adds a exposure indicator/flash ready light in the viewfinder. Since 
the OM-2 is a much better body if you want to use a flash I have 
never n\been real concerned about  the lack of the ready light in the 
OM-1. There may well have been some minor internal changes as well 
that I am not aware of. Personally I would not worry to much if it 
was a 1 or 1n that I was getting.
