Photobox can be quite good for this, and the viewer can order their own
prints too if they wish. Otherwise, for proper gallery stuff, I use
PBase - though that one isn't free (very good value, however).

Are there any recommendations for commercially sponsored freebie

that might be suitable. "FLICKR" [sp?] comes to mind but I have no
experience with this site.
Ideally the number / volume of sponsors' adverts should be minimal.
