Mahou is, indeed, quite a decent spanish beer, along with the popular San
Miguel and, some say, Alhambra.
Just in case I don't sound heretic enough :-) Mahou's alcohol-free beer
('Laiker' is called) seems to be "reasonably" close to a *real* beer, unlike
other alcohol-free brands -- sorry for that, but I was recently recovering
from an uncomfortable bronchitis and had to take that...
Following the advice of Nathan and others, I'll try some Belgian beer... I
didn't have the list provided here with me in my last trip to Alcampo, but
however there was quite a selection of Belgian beers. I chose this one

Rather good, and the foam is of the 'open' style I like. And it doesn't look
like other high-graduation beers I tried... Definitely, I must keep trying
the whole range! ;-)
Comparing it to Senegalese beers is... very difficult. I think it's quite
different, a much softer taste -- nothing to do, but very much to my taste,
that's all. Some prefer blondes, some prefer blacks -- you get the idea.
Maybe I'm just biased because the (almost) only way to drink Senegalese beer
is going there, and that means also the sight of Senegalese señoritas... ;-)
