Not Canon, obviously...
Actually, this is one of those things about the Panasonic L1 which is
a little disconcerting. No matter how much you want it to go, there is
1/16 note rest before it decides to play its note. The E-1 is like any
other pro camera and the delay is non-existent, but not when you have
any focusing going on or half-press nonsense. The Minolta A1 is half a
measure behind.
The OM-4T with MD2 gets with it and moves right along. Not
nervous-quick as Leicas are, but it seems like the camera just is
faster when using the MD2 than without. I guess that makes sense
because of the time it takes for the finger to move the extra couple
of mm of the built-in shutter-release as compared to the hair-trigger
plunge of the MD2's release.
Whatever it is, it is noticeable.
Not that I stayed in place long enough for people to really figure out
what I was shooting, but one mother asked me "Is that a film camera?"
Another couple of people were staring with a puzzled look on their
faces.
Priceless.
