Sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing, Brian.
Hopefully she'll hear the wakeup call. I know from personal experience
that until someone actually realizes what needs to be done and accepts
that, there's not much you can say to change their mind. A dear friend of
ours (closest thing my wife ever had to a sister) suffered from lung
problems and had had quadruple-bypass surgery, yet she continued to smoke
and eat junk food. I guess she was hoping to find a doctor who would tell
her that it was perfectly OK for her do to that...
Right up to the point where a friend of hers found her dead on her
living-room floor.
My wife is still angry at her for allowing herself to get to that point.
