I recently ran into more such trouble getting an image to lookright, which led me to do some simple testing. <http://www.moosemystic.net/Gallery/tech/DXO/LensCorrect.htm> I quite like DxO's default rendering of color, contrast, etc., compared to ACR's If I find it on sale again, I may get it.

The 12-32 shots were slightly tilted. I should have just put it on the GX7,
which has a built-in level.

First, very cool analysis. Wonder what raw converter used to avoid metadata correction? I can think of a couple that might work.

I used DxO, with correction turned off. But that won't be an option when my trial period ends in a couple of days. I took too long trying things out, and the latest sale went away.

Rawtherapee doesn't use the lens data, and the default rendering on another test image I've played with, one with much more interesting color/subject, is pleasing. So that's what I will use for the moment. Fortunately, I don't shoot that many subjects for which it matters. (FastStone does it uncorrected, too, but too bright and quite pink!)

I first noticed ACR correction was incomplete with some Marnie shots in Girona of buildings with straight lines with the 12-32. I was planning to do comparison of DXO to ACR on one, but your analysis is much more elegant.

Thanks. I too first noticed it on images of buildings, but none that covered
the whole field.

Oh, GM-1 does have built in level too--hit "disp" button.

Yeah, recalled too late. Doesn't matter for the issue at hand.

Rest assured won't be too long 'till the next DXO sale.

Perhaps you could alert me? I think I stumbled on it through some other site. You'd think they now have my email, from signing up for the trial, but I've as yet received nothing from them. Perhaps they will offer me a deal when the trial expires.
