So long as I don't see the photos your new lenses won't exist ;-)

Have fun :-)

The m.Zuiko 9-18 and 70-300 arrived a day early today. So far I've taken a grand total of 3 shots. 2 with the 9-18 at 9 and 18mm and one with the 70-300 at 300mm. The wides were to show how much of my back porch's screen enclosure can be captured and the width at the 9mm end surprised me. The 300mm shot was of a roofer across the street just finishing the roof on one of the many houses being constructed around me. Despite being perhaps 150 feet away I have a very clear shot of his face. The fine details in his cap (the mesh on the back side) are not clear but maybe they would be if taken on a tripod. I was very surprised at how the IBIS visibly steadied the image in the viewfinder. I assume the other lenses must show the same but I'd never actually noticed it before.

Anyhow the light is fading away and I still have numerous boxes to unpack and try to find a place for their contents before I can go play photographer again.

The biggest surprise to me about the lenses was the extension of the 9-18. I'd never seen it in other than its collapsed state. The surprise was that I didn't know there was a collapsed state. One has to twist the zoom collar to open it up for action and then slide a lock lever to collapse if for storage. When opened it is always at nearly double its collapsed length no matter what focal length is chosen although it is shortest by roughly 6mm between 14 and 18mm.
