Yup. As a general rule, when filter prices exceed $1 per mm of focal
length, I start looking for another route.

You are, of course correct. I don't know why I was thinking 117 - as
if 112 wasn't big enough!

B&H didn't have any screw-on caps that

It is and does. I checked B&H before coming to the board and ordered
one of the Tamron caps, but I sure would like to find a metal
screw-on for security.  The reason I still have the 50/1.8s that came
with my OM1 and OM10 back in the 70s is that I always used a metal
cap.
