I have a Tamron 180/2.5. It is a very fine lens according to tests. The
German Fotomagazin called it "super", as they did with the 80-200/2.8 zoom.
Contrast is a bit better on the 180 than on the zoom at 200 mm, but
otherwise very little difference, it seems.
It has internal focus, which is faster than the focus on the Zuiko 180/2.8.

As I now have the Zuiko 180/2.0, I am thinking of selling the Tamron.
Unfortunately, a couple of years ago I dropped it 3 meters down on a floor
at Lanzerote, smashing a UV filter, which caused some marks on the front
lens. I was surprised I did not smash the lens altogether. The marks
probably do not effect the pictures, but of course reduce the value.

I'll try to test this lens against my Zuiko.

If I decide to sell the Tamron, I'll let you know on the list.

Lars
