Well, I haven't found that the silver noses get any more 'respect' (read
money). I like the looks, but the black noses are, in most cases, optically
superior. That said, I find the only real difference is flare resistance,
and that is a rare situation for me. I'd buy the good values. Also, I
happen to like the looks of the silver nose lenses.
Now, if they are M-1 lenses, they're more valuable, but I've never seen one.
