That is not the original, special tubular hood that takes advantage
of the lens design. It is just a typical conical design WA rubber
hood that fits on the end of the lens. It provides little or no
protection in the telephoto end of the zoom.

The one they sold me was the genuine article. The one that adjusts the angle
by the
front group moving inside it.
