I realize that MC meant different things at different times. It seems to be
generally agreed that something happened around 1.1 million. Whether that was
multi-coating more (or all) of the elements, a change in the multi-coat
formulation,
a change in the lens formulation, etc., I don't know. All I'm asking is if
it is possible (probable?) that the wording changed from Zuiko MC to just plain
Zuiko at that time. If so, one could look at a lens numbered below 1.1 (and
over 1.0) and know which version it was. (My keeper 1.4, off for CLA now, is
SN 1130xxx. At the time I bought it, I was just looking for anything over
1000000,
so by dumb luck I didn't fall into the Twilight Zone.)
