When this technology becomes widespread, the probability that digital will
displace film will increase, but I suspect cost will prevent that from
happening quickly for the first few years. When the cost becomes low enough,
a CMOS sensor digital camera with a 24mm x 36mm sensor will donate its guts
to one of my surplus OM backs, and with a little metal surgury we'll see if
a digital-OM (more like Franken-digi-OM) will be created... I'll be up in
the tower laboratory scheming if anyone calls...
