Well, I am no collector. If I buy gear, it is to use it. Carefully,
to be sure, taking care that it is not subject to unnecessarilly
harsh conditions. But I would never spend XXX Eur on something to sit
on a shelf. My pleasure from cameras is through taking pictures. If
the Camera is eventually worn out, then so be it. I'd take good care
of it to postpone the wearing out for as long as possible. However I
also accept that eventually the use will wear it out, as a
concequence of being used (not that I have "worn out" any Oly gear
yet, though, nor do I think that I ever reasonably will....)

I'd say that if I was you, and if I like using the OM4Ti more than
the OM4, then I'd by all means use it. Exercise propper care, but use
it.

Of course, there are others who derive pleasure from having
mint bodies and lenses beautifully displayed. If those are the
priorities then, of course, my opinions above are moot (as is the
situation of ever bringing the camera into a sand-storm or to the
playfield with the kids).

Using and collecting are both valid reasons for acquireing olympus
gear, and what you want to subject your gear to is a personal
preference.
