I use only SS tanks and reels. I've never been able to load any plastic
reel without a something going wrong... My personal equipment consists
of old Nikor tanks and Hewes/King Concept 35mm reels. Those reels are
NICE, and worth the cash. Get a couple if you can. I purchased about 10
or 12 of them used for about $7 each and never looked back. They're
heavier and the spirals are perfectly flat and parallel to each other,
making loading very smooth. I'd be tempted to buy a couple of their 220
reels - thats another tough one to load on cheapo reels.
