They both save raw files which is fairly common now in $500+ digicams. 
The thing that seems to separate the men from the boys is whether they 
lock up for a considerable period while saving raw files. Unfortunately 
  the Canon Pro 1 and the Konica/Minolta Dimage A2 are the only two 
digicams that, like DSLRs, can walk and chew gum at the same time when 
it comes to raw files.
