I use hotmail (itself at times notoriously slow) and with yahoo groups (who 
are even worse - I suspect the name yahoo is oft heard when mail finally 
arrives lol).
To be fair, sometimes hotmail can be near instantaneous (even with world 
wide trips for the emails) and at others times, slower than snail mail - 
even to a machine literally inches away (I won't go into details regarding 
that or the need for it - just had where I worked once).

number of electrons were asked their permission to be terribly 
inconvenienced. (And threw a party for them afterwards for being really cool 
about it).
