No, it is not fixable at all through firmware. It's a problem with light 
and the three color method of color capture. Looking at the UV problem, 
both blue light that is visible to the human eye and shorter wavelength 
UV light that we can't see are sensed by the same blue sites on the 
sensor. Since there is no way firmware differentiate between light 
wavelengths that get through the color filter in front of it, the 
problem can't be resolved there. It also can't be resolved in post, at 
least without elaborate selection/masking, since color adjustment of the 
affected parts will take out blue that is correctly in other parts of 
the image.

It's the same problem encountered at altitude, where UV is greater than 
at sea level. The same sort of problem can occur with the red sensors 
and IR light.

It's the only solution short of introducing some filtering into the 
camera body itself.
