My warranty repair on a C S110 a few years ago was like Scott's recent
lens repair, just over a week turnaround.

I'm sure their service model must be to replace modules at the US repair
facility, very quick and minimal labor, then send the bad modules to an
overseas location for repair.

I further assume actual module repairs would only be done in batches for
any given module when the service center stocks get to replenishment
level. Probably a triage to determine the least expensive to repair, too.

Original production of each module has to be cheaper than a repair for
virtually all modules, so a process that produces the repair modules
expected to be needed right along with finished product and repairs no
more modules than necessary should minimize total cost.
