The 4t has a mechanically driven, electronically controlled shutter. That
means that springs and gears open and close the shutter curtains, but the
timing is done by electronics. I agree on allowing the 4t. I never, ever use
mine in auto mode, manual only. I will never be able to afford an OM-3 and
the OM-1 is not even worthy of consideration now that I've used the spot
meter on the OM-4T. I sold my OM-1 earlier this year, partly because I
needed the money for rent and partly because I hadn't used it in years.
