Based on your response I suspect that it is not Google Analytics which is
the culprit but some other program which seems to constantly redirect my
searches and return "cant find server" messages. Sending info to Google
Analytics appears as a message in the bar along the bottom no doubt as a
result of this activity.
I think I shall make internet explorer my default browser for the moment and
delete Firefox and do a clean install.

Charlie is correct. What are the indications that you are being
"attacked"? From your own Windows computer I should think you wouldn't
even know it's there.
