  I did some of that back in the late 70's. It was E-4 I believe and it did
require re-exposure. I used a 5 gallon aquarium with a small heater to keep
the chemicals at the proper temperature. At some point I would remove the
spool of film from the chemical bath and hold it up to a 120 Watt bulb. The
film stayed on the reel and I would just rotate it in the light. Worked
pretty well and the Ektachrome slides still look pretty good after 30 years.
