I'm doubt I have anything to say that can't be safely ignored, but I
have dealt with this problem somewhat in my own way. Everything would
depend on how well I got on with the OM-D viewfinder, as an LCD is just
not to my liking in the great outdoors. The camera that goes in my
saddle bags is an E-410 with the DZ 14-42 designed for it. This fits in
my rack bag on my bicycle and in my tank bag on the BMW. It is
accompanied by the DZ 40-150 if there is room. (In some ways, that lens
is often more useful than the 14-42.)

I just can't love anything but an SLR it seems.

Not sure how Olympus has short-changed you, but as I said, nothing you
can't ignore here.

The ultimate for me would be to try to find enough room to take the
E-620 instead of the E-410, but if I have the 620, I also like the
battery grip. Better for me just to stick with the 410.

The only reason I actually believe the good things I am hearing about
the OM-D is a consequence of the pleasure of shooting with the 620.
Olympus' trajectory seems to be a really good one since about the days
of the E-30 through the E-5. Hope to have one of those one day, but I
can't believe it could be much better than the 620. Even so the 410 had
been my most enjoyable DSLR before I laid hands on the 620.
