You could integrate lighting and irrigation schedules quite easily with the
ISY, Mike. I'm not at all sure it could be done with the smartlinc. But $99
for a smartlinc, plus probably another $125 for a sprinkler controller and
another $50 or so for a smart light switch might be enough for proof of
concept.

Keep in mind, though, that one could always do most of what I am doing in
available software on a PC or Mac for less money what I'm doing with an
ISY. If your PC or Mac stays on all the time... or you've an old one you'd
like to dedicate to just that purpose, you could have the broader control
of the ISY at lower up-front cost. I simply don't trust either a PC or Mac
to boot up and recover well enough after a power fail, and the ISY does
that quite reliably.
