That's above my pay grade. <g> I've seen it spelled both ways, with context 
showing similar meaning of "pretty."

Googled Geordie and found a dictionary. Says Newcastle-on-Tyne, but the words 
look pretty Scots to me.

Reminded me that when I was in Greenwich Village this past June, I asked a shop 
clerk at a British tea shop if he was from Scotland, and he said no, Newcastle, 
but at lot of people made the same mistake. Fortunately, he didn't seem 
offended. <g>
