Here is another olde tyme destination

https://www.tramway.co.uk/

It is years since I was there last and judging by the volume of exhibits on show the place has exploded over the years.

In the "Indoor Exhibitions" photo on on the home page I see an old Sheffield tram on the far right side.

A few miles from us they hold an annual Steam Fair http://www.gdsf.co.uk/
It's a mega event over several days with a huge visitor count, and it
includes a lot of vaguely-related attractions like heavy horse displays,
ploughing competitions, tractor pulls, craft, models, etc. The evenings
host music shows and there's a steam-powered fair with ancient carousels
(not Kodak!) and a huge amount of steam-generated lighting. The traffic is
a nightmare during the fair (quarter-million visitors) and before and after
as dozens of engines come and go.
Highly recommended!

Chris .... are these steam engines "street legal" in every way or are they
just tolerated now and again by the authorities so as not to offend country
folk and to avoid being speared during the next edition of The Archers ?

I’ve been a bit slack lately with my photo blog, although I’ve continued
to take photos for it, but here is this week’s contribution. They are two
shots that I’ve only just taken of the scene outside our house. It doesn’t
have the majesty of Ken’s sunset or snowy peaks, but it was an enjoyable
sight nonetheless:
