That would be a VERY good price for one of those in England. It is a
great lens for concert work - small, lightweight, with that nice f/2
it hoovers up lots of light. And it handles so easily that you can get
away with slowish shutter speeds. It's also a good focal length if you
can get reasonably close to the stage.
Forget about the SC vs MC. There's something about it which makes it
nice to use. Just buy it if you can find the money, and I'm sure you
will love it.
