CUSTOMSHASSLE SUMMARY
Under US $400 - small green customs slip 2976, 3 lines
US $400 to $800 - white 5x7? form 2976-a. One copy for inside the
package & the top part stuck on the outside
Shipments over c$1200 need invoices, customs details. (= ~US $800)

Stuff under C$20 is duty/tax free
First C$60 of a gift is duty free
Stuff under ~C$100 seems to be passed thru. Probably depends on their
work volume.

See http://www.ccra-
adrc.gc.ca/customs/business/importing/courier/postal/ind_duty_free-
e.html

Duty rate on almost everything from the US is 0%, but customs
collects GST (7%) and often PST (0-10%) +$5 brokerage for the Post
Office.

FedEx has no brokerage fee from the US to Canada.

Pad well!
