I was on a race yacht once, and they're pretty bare inside. No Persian rugs,
hand rubbed teak woodwork, brass gimbaled lanterns, no microwave, no
washer/dryer, not anything like a suitable $150K yacht should have. Kind of
like a true racehorse, not much good for everyday riding... The boat I was
on won the SF-Honolulu race a few years back, so the racers spent more than
a few hours cramped up in it too...
