Manuel, welcome to the group!

Sorry I don't have specific info regarding this lens, but here's a
little story the may be related.

Years ago I worked in the 'Stereo' business selling relatively high
end systems. I attended a conference in Chicago with the intention of
learning about competitors' products. The show guide listed a floor
of a hotel with references to "OEM". I went up the elevator and
wandered from suite to suite. I was amazed to see a lot items that I
recognized but with names of different manufacturers on them than I
expected. At one point one of the organizers introduced himself then
looked down at my badge. His eyes widened in horror and he started
repeating, "You can't be here! You can't be here!" and almost shoved
me back onto the elevator. I'm just glad it was at that floor!

Moral of the story: Not everything that bears the name of a
manufacturer is manufactured by that company. The camera industry has
long been rife with speculation (and, sometimes, facts!) about who
makes what for whom.

I've been a fan of and used of Tamron lenses for years and don't ever
recall seeing the one you describe. Wonder if it might be some kind
of prototype?
