Some of us carry weapons to preclude violence. Being able to defend
ourselves does not mean we are mentally deficient. Everyone is entitled to
their opinion and it seems that there are statistics available to support
all opinions. An old machinist used to tell me, "Figures don't lie but liars
figure." I enjoy shooting as a sport and I enjoy shooting with my cameras.
Neither hobby propagates violence. Insulting people just might though. /jmac

Sorry, chaps. I had thought that I was communicating with
intelligent people, but I think that I must have been mistaken.
You seem to be trusting to hearsay to suit your own habits. There's
enough violence in the world without propagating it in your own back
yard, whether notional or not.
I think that I'll give the List a rest for a while.
