I don't think so. I think the Sony a7S II and a7R II are in a different
league selling for close to $3,000. What the E-M1 has to compete with
is the a7 II which sells for $1,700.

If Oly tries to charge $1,500 for the E-M1 II I can see even myself
balking and maybe adding $200 to get the full frame 24 MP sensor. I'd
probably also want at least one native AF lens but I can see doing most
of my photography with adapted OM lenses which I have in plentiful supply.
But I'll have to see just exactly what the E-M1 II has to offer before
jumping one way or another.

For me, I acquired a nice 43 lens (quite a Fang ;-) and decided I didn't
like the focussing on the E-M5. So I got a little used E-M1 for ~$500 and
I'm happy ;-). It is smaller then I thought, feeling not really much bigger
then an E-M5 with the HLD-6 grip part. Not that it is that relevant with 43
lenses...
