I had a lot of parts bodies come from Hawaii one time a few years back that
included an OM-1 that had gone swimming. It had clearly been underwater for
some time, some of the camera had turned green... I seem to recall it did
yield at least one part that I could use though I can't recall what it was
now. Unlike this seller mine was *very* clear that the lot was for parts
only.

Answering this from my "new" refurbished, recertified Acer Aspire N270 
Netbook.  Boy, these keys are close together.  Hope you did not pay too 
much for the OM-2.  One way I always check OM-2 bodies for water is to 
expose the circuit under the mirror box floor and look for rust in the 
shutter gears to the left.  Looks like you got the ultimate junk body.
